Never the same

When we first met, everything was perfect.
Then time passed by and colors are being shown.
Your character changes from a sweet man to an angry one.
With Despise in your eyes and fear in your heart.
Our love will never be the same, which is why we need to part.
Time will heal all wounds, but will never erase the memories.
Of what was, came to be and what will never be...
The same.

Back and forth...

This game you play is unbearable,
the pain I acquire isn't erasable.

The choice you make speaks to what we are,
I'm either in it or not...yes, it's gotten this far.

No more back and forth between her and me,
Stand by the promises you conveyed so freely.

Intimacy ceases at this moment,
Until you can express your love...it will have to vent.

I am not a game to be played or traded,
the one you are supposed to love not betray it.

Your time is up and it is no more,
For you are done with all this back and forth.

Ecstasy

When there's flare in your eyes,
When your heart is racing to no end,
When your sweating profusely,
When your muscles contract
And your pupils dilate...

When there's no worries or care in the world,
When heaven monopolizes your mind,
When this tingle engulfs your nerves,
When your entire core becomes relaxed,
That is the moment of ecstasy...

Why are men being sent to Jail for unpaid child support?

The working parents are paying taxes for the jails anyway, so if you aren't collecting child support...why are you going to pay even more to put him in jail?  Every time we turn around they are expanding the jails or creating new ones.  That is money out of the tax payers dollars and we aren't making enough to support an expansion of anything in this economy.

I'm surprised if the judge doesn't order him to get a job within a certain amount of time and pay it according to what he's making.  Then that's when the man goes out and obtains these low paying jobs, so they aren't paying a lot in child support.  Why wouldn't you want to make more money for yourself and your child?  Why wouldn't you want to support your child?  You're thinking the money is going to the mother so you don't want her to have that much.  The mother's are the ones who are taking care of the child, so if the money goes towards supporting that child's needs, then so be it.  At least you know that the water is hot, clothes are on their back, a roof is over their head, food is in their stomach, shoes are on their feet, gas and car note is good in order to transport to and from school/activities/father.  I don't understand how a man wouldn't want to provide for his children.

I don't think locking them up is the answer to the problem of unpaid child support.  If there were more programs for men to go out there and go through some type of training and provided with a job, then they would probably get off the streets and do something more positive with their life, which would be beneficial to their children.  I would support a company or even the government if the money was used to better them and not hold them down.  I am not going to support expansions of jails to solve this issue.  Leave the jails to the real criminals(murderers, rapist, pedophiles, etc.)!

You have to ask....Why don't they pay child support?  Is it because they don't think the child is theirs?  Is it because they don't want children and its better to deny then to step up?  I thank God for the Maury show!  Maury has proven a lot of whose the father scenarios.  Some will never find their baby daddy because of their own irresponsibility.  A woman has to step up and be a mother if she gets pregnant, so she doesn't have a choice to deny the child, if she plans on keeping it and raising it.  If she feels she isn't ready, there is an option for adoption.  What if she never puts the child up for adoption and raises the child?  The man now has a responsibility to support that child.  When a child is given up for adoption, I believe both parents(if known) have to relinquish their parental rights.  If the man knows he fathered a child, he should be a man and step up and support this child to the best of his ability.  He was man enough to lay down and be intimate; he is man enough to get a job/career and support his child.  No excuses!!!

When you know its over

When the phone calls start to cease,
When they come in later than usual,
When they start to pursue other people,
When the sex isn't enjoyable anymore and short lived,
When secrets started to expose themselves...
It's over!

When your feeling start to change to all about themselves,
When they start to say things that hurt,
When they start to accuse you when they are the ones that are unfaithful,
It's over!

I will continue my life with or without you...time waits for no one!

Mommy, I'm pretty with long hair...Am I White??

My daughter came to me and asked me if she was White.  I looked at her pretty caramel skin and long beautiful hair and replied, "no baby, we are a mixture of races; not just black and not just white.  There are other ethnicities in between Black and White."

"But I'm pretty with long beautiful hair, I must be White, I can't be black because my hair is not nappy and my skin isn't dark," said Kayla.  "Not everyone who is Black has nappy hair and dark skin.  Nappiness only comes from not taking care of your hair."

I began to tell her what my grandparents told me..."In the old days, they said that if a person has a drop of Black blood in them; they are considered Black.  African American people range from very light skinned to very dark skinned.  There are a lot of different countries other than the United States, which have their own look and language.  Back in the days other countries invaded other countries and the diversity became worldwide," I explained.

"Ohhhh, so that's why I look the way I do?" asked Kayla.  "Yes baby, we have many different ethnicities in our blood; our family is very diverse."  "Just so happen that we are beautiful due to our DNA from all different types of ancestors from different ethnicities," I explained.

"Everyone is beautiful in their own way, no matter what type of hair they have or the color of their skin.  God made everyone in his image and loves us all equally...we are all beautiful to him."  I stated.

The Road of Life...

Life has its ups and downs, but the choices we make determine which path we choose.  We may start off on the wrong path, but eventually we end up on the right path before it's too late.  Sometimes we go through experiences that we wouldn't want to go through again.  Those are the experiences that make us stronger and who we are today.  We will not encounter an experience that we cannot handle.  It takes a lot of will-power and determination to surpass that experience.  There will always be rough patches in the river, but in the end it is very calm and collected.  They say we only have one life to live, but others say you take what you have learned from this life and apply it to the next, which in return is a step closer to righteousness.
