Kids these days...

Children these days are more into video games, television and fashion.  Kids have become spoiled compared to kids about 20 years ago.  In the old days, every child was outside burning energy, strengthening their social skills and just being kids.  You rarely see kids outside this day in age.  They are inside eating up everything (mostly junk food), glued to the television or glued to the video games.  Where is this world coming to?  How are they supposed to strengthen their minds with useless resources?  Children today also are more sexually active and try to act grown, when they are not...mostly due to television and school environment.  They constantly talk back and try to defy you, like they know more than you do.  What they need to do is be the age that they are and listen to the elders who have already been down that road...maybe they will learn something without having to go through the tough times of others.  Read a book, watch the history & discovery channel and research events, people and places on the computer...very beneficial.  We have to pave the educated way for our children or else they will be no asset to the future...to their future!

  1. I completely agree. This is a terrible domino effect that not only affects children in their mental progress but physical growth as well. We have seen an influx in childhood diabetes, obesity and even early depression. Playing, being active both mentally and physically is a key aspect to being a child. The mindless blurbs of senseless television should definitely be a closely monitored aspect of a child's life as well as that of the internet. Society has sex and sexuality saturating and bursting the seams and yet among some adults there is bewilderment as to where kids are getting these thoughts and even some sayings from...the answer is very simple. It is the example we as adults set. No one is perfect. However for children to be a viable, responsible and functioning part of society good examples and limits has to me shown to them and it is up to the adults to make that conscious decision to pave the way.

  2. Yes indeed sis! These kids are constantly talking about boys and kissing...what's next...sex! Always is! Never are the diseases thought of or talked about...lack of education on that topic.

    Love you too sis!
